Delta's free throws sink Owens women

MIDLAND, Mich. Delta Community College converted 36 of 52 fee throw attempts, 20 of 25 in the final 10 minutes, to beat Owens CC 75-59 in women s basketball.

The Express led 33-28 at the half in the season opener for both teams. Bridget Buss led Owens with 12 points.

Adrea Taylor topped Delta with 19 points.

Owens opens its home season at 6 p.m. Friday at its Tipoff Classic against Fanshawe (Ont.).
