11/10/2005

WAUSEON - The Fulton County Board of Health will give its 37 employees a 3 percent pay raise in 2006, which will cost the board an extra $37,000 a year.

The board unanimously approved the raises Monday.

Last year, the board awarded raises of 50 cents an hour to its employees, taking their pay range to about $11 to $27 an hour this year. Next year, the highest paid employee eligible for the 3 percent raises, a director of nursing, is to be paid $55,000.

County commissioners are expected Monday to begin discussing possible 3 percent raises for their employees next year.
