Meeting to focus on I-75/Trail upgrades

A study of possible I-75 improvements through downtown Toledo, and the Anthony Wayne Trail/Downtown interchange in particular, will be the subject of a public meeting Wednesday.

Ohio Department of Transportation officials will present design concepts they are considering for the freeway between South and Detroit avenues and solicit public comments during the meeting. The session will be from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Mayores Senior Center, 1 Aurora L. Gonzalez Drive, in South Toledo.

The study's purpose is to develop plans for reducing congestion and improving safety on I-75 and the Trail, which is part of State Rt. 25.

State officials will accept written comments during the meeting and afterward by mail until Dec. 28. Mailed comments should be sent to the ODOT District Office of Planning and Programs, 317 East Poe Rd., Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402.
