Two people were hurt yesterday when a car hit a disabled tractor-trailer on the shoulder of northbound I-75 north near Ottawa River Road, police said.

Shane Feeny, 20 of Walbridge, and his passenger, Katy Ledford, 20, of Erie, Mich., were taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated, and she was undergoing treatment last night, a hospital spokesman said.

Mr. Feeny was northbound on I-75 about 1:30 p.m. when he attempted to change lanes, went off the right shoulder, and hit a truck owned by Integrity Transportation, of Huron, Ohio, parked there. The collision blew a tire on the left rear of the trailer. No one was in the tractor at the time, police said. Mr. Feeny was cited for operating without due regard for safety.
