Wood County condemns 7 sites for safety reasons

BOWLING GREEN The Wood County Board of Health agreed Thursday night to condemn seven properties with buildings that health officials have been unable to get the owners to make safe.

Health Commissioner Jeff Cooper said his department would use its $70,000 demolition fund to tear down the six houses and one commercial building that are unsafe because of problems with roofs and support beams and other structural issues.

The properties are 12294 and 12273 Fort Meigs Blvd., Perrysburg; 25808 High View Lane, Perrysburg; 348 Walnut St., Risingsun; 3531 Goodrich Ave., Northwood;15320 King Rd., Haskins, and 10130 Sugar St., Milton Center.
