TECUMSEH, Mich. Three 16-year-old Lenawee County youths were critically hurt Sunday in a one-car crash on Pocklington Road, just east of Billmeyer Road in Raisin Township, Lenawee County sheriff s deputies said.

Deputies refused to release the names of the victims, citing their age, but said the driver, a 16-year-old from Britton, Mich., was eastbound on Pocklington about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his car, spun around, and struck a tree with the rear of the car.

The driver had to be extricated from the car before being flown to University of Michigan Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition yesterday, deputies said.

Two 16-year-old girls from Adrian in the car were hurt.

One was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, and the other was taken to Medical University of Ohio Hospital, where each remained critical yesterday.
