The rain held off, the temperatures stayed in the mid-40s and another Glass City Marathon is in the books. Five-person relay teams provided the energy, the narrow two-lane into Side Cut Metropark provided the close quarters so that fishermen and runners could share their Sunday together, and a lot of special people made my 13.1 miles fly past.

Lorrie completed the opening relay leg by arriving in Side Cut at about 10 a.m., and I arrived at the Wyndham finish line at the 4:11.00 mark. Water stations and support were fantastic, blunting the chill, and slight headwind.

Congratulations to the Toledo Roadrunners, and to all the first-time marathoners for finishing a tough city course.
