4/8/2006

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will replace 53 computers in 10 of its locations with the aid of a $75,000 grant accepted by the board of trustees yesterday.

The Global Libraries Project of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded the grant for public access computer hardware and software upgrades.

The public access computers are targeted for Birmingham, Kent, Lagrange, Locke, Mott, Reynolds Corners, Sanger, South, Toledo Heights branches, and the Main Library.

Library officials said there was no local match necessary.
