I-75 lanes to be shut for Michigan work

5/9/2006

MONROE - Northbound and southbound I-75 between Erie and Luna Pier roads will be reduced to one lane beginning at 9 tonight, for construction work, Michigan Department of Transportation officials said.

I-75 will return to three lanes in each direction every morning at 5 a.m. Work will be completed Thursday night, but could spill over to Friday night if poor weather conditions cause delays.

Workers will be applying surface sealants and removing false decking as part of continuing renovation work that began last year and continues on portions of the highway from Detroit to the Ohio line, MDOT officials said.
