GREEN SPRINGS, Ohio The U.S. House has included $300,000 earmarked in the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act for improvements on water systems in Green Springs and Clyde.

Rep. Paul Gillmor (R., Old Fort) said yesterday that the bill awaits passage in the Senate and consideration in a House-Senate conference committee before it can be sent to President Bush for his signature.

Clyde s plan includes the installation of a 16-inch pipe from the Clyde Reservoir to the Sandusky River. Green Springs will renovate a pump station at the wastewater treatment plant and install a new pump station and sanitary relief lines. Both say they will meet the requirement for 25 percent matching funds.
