DELTA, Ohio Two Delta men were hurt yesterday when their car collided with a tractor-trailer and became wedged under it on U.S. 20A and State Rt. 109 in Fulton County s York Township just west of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The driver, Buddy Gillespie, 71, and his passenger, Kirby Gillespie, 43, were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center where Buddy Gillespie was in serious condition and Kirby Gillespie was in the intensive care unit last night, a hospital spokesman said.

Buddy Gillespie was driving north on Route 109 about 9:30 a.m. when he failed to stop at a red light and hit the tractor-trailer driven eastbound on 20A by Mark Fry, Jr., 39, of Toledo, troopers at the patrol s Toledo post said. Mr. Fry was not hurt.

The car became wedged under the trailer, which was an empty tank that had carried liquid oxygen, troopers said.
