A 62-year-old man was hurt seriously yesterday when the sport utility vehicle he was driving went off Nebraska Avenue and rolled over in a wooded area in Lucas County's Springfield Township, the Toledo post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Robert Homolya of Toledo was flown to Medical University of Ohio Medical Center in serious condition, troopers said. A hospital spokesman said she had no information on a patient by that name. Mr. Homolya was eastbound on Nebraska, west of Centennial Road, about 6:40 p.m. when his SUV went off the road, hit a fire hydrant, and rolled onto the driver's side, troopers said.
