ATV driver seriously hurt in crash that killed relative

CLYDE, Ohio The driver of an all-terrain vehicle who was injured in an accident that killed his stepsister was in serious condition yesterday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Jessica Larson, 11, of Clyde was killed Wednesday when the ATV in which she was riding collided with a car on Sandusky County Road 175 and Green Creek Township Road 195 south of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Jessica was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Britain Morris, 20, of Clyde was driving north on Road 195 about 4:20 p.m. when he failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the car on Road 175 driven by Ruth Brown, 59, of Tiffin, troopers said.

Mr. Morris was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was in serious condition yesterday, a hospital spokesman said. Ms. Brown was not hurt.

Young Larson and Mr. Morris were not wearing helmets, troopers said, adding that operating ATVs on public streets is illegal. No citations have been issued.
