A South Toledo man died yesterday afternoon, three days after he ran a red light and crashed his tow truck at Matzinger Road and Stickney Avenue.

Larry Crapsey, 64, of 1009 Prouty Ave. died at 3:45 p.m. in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, according to David Roberts, an investigator with the Lucas County coroner s office.

Mr. Crapsey was driving south on Matzinger about 9:10 a.m. Monday when he ran the light, hit two landscape boulders, a utility pole, and two parked vehicles.

A medical condition might have been a factor in the accident. An autopsy is to be conducted today.
