City, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed Tuesday in observance of Independence Day. Auto title offices also will be closed. However, the Toledo Police Department's records office will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A list of select services on Tuesday follows:
Businesses
All banks, financial institutions, bank marts, and banking centers will be closed.
Retail centers
Most shopping centers will have shorter hours, closing at 6 p.m. Individual stores may have separate hours.
Schools
Colleges and universities will be closed and no classes held. Davis College also will be closed tomorrow.
Public utilities
Toledo Edison office and phone service and Columbia Gas' phone center will be closed. Service will be available only for emergencies.
Libraries
The Main Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be closed.
Mail service
There will be no mail delivery or mail collection and no window services at the Main Post Office or any of the classified stations or branches.
The Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit will be closed. Express Mail will be delivered until 3 p.m.
Bus service
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday schedule.
Trash pickup
Trash pickup will be delayed one day from Tuesday through the rest of the week in Toledo and outlying areas. Ottawa Hills' Tuesday trash pickup will be on Wednesday.
Parking
Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free.
