OAKSHADE, Ohio - A motorist killed when her vehicle collided Tuesday with a tractor-trailer in Fulton County near here has been identified as Brianne F. Zuver, 26, of Wauseon.

Ms. Zuver was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Ms. Zuver was southbound on State Rt. 108 about 7 p.m. Tuesday and failed to yield at a stop sign. She drove her sport utility vehicle into the path of a tractor-trailer being driven west on U.S. 20 by Robert Rutherford, 51, of Climax, N.C., troopers said. He was not hurt.

Ms. Zuver's passengers Jessica Schuller, 29, and Caiden Zuver, 2, both of Wauseon, were treated at Fulton County Health Center.

The Oregon Board of Education has hired Jane Fruth, treasurer and chief financial officer of Fostoria City Schools, as the district's new treasurer.

She will begin her duties Aug. 1. The current treasurer, Dennis Butler, retires July 31.

Mrs. Fruth has been in education for a dozen years. Her annual salary of $85,147 will be prorated through Dec. 31, and her two-year contract will begin in 2007, Mr. Butler said.

In April, the board hired Karen Dameron, treasurer of Wauseon Exempted Village Schools, but she turned down the job later that month before a contract was signed, forcing the district to reopen its search.
