Ohio singer and songwriter Bob Ford will perform during a free Verandah Concert from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, where a free ice cream social will begin at 6:45 p.m.

Bavarian Brass Band will perform from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Birchard Park.
PERRYSBURG
Eugene Watkins, a doctoral candidate at the University of Toledo, will discuss "Cousin Jonathan: The Common Soldier in the War of 1812" at
7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fort Meigs Visitor Center, 29100 West River Rd. The event is free.

Drums Along the Maumee, a concert of military percussion music from the colonial period through the American Civil War, will run at Fort Meigs on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
PUT-IN-BAY
An evening of live classic big band music featuring the Johnny Knorr Orchestra is set for 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Crew's Nest Pavilion on Bay View Avenue. Tickets are $50.

The "Festival of the Jester" Mardi Gras Festival will run from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, featuring traditional to modern blues and jazz, French and Southern-style food, beads, and costumes.
