Ottawa Co. agency has 6 sites for produce coupons

OAK HARBOR, Ohio Ottawa County Senior Resources has established six sites for distribution of coupons that can be redeemed for locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to low income senior citizens.

The program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to the Ohio Department of Aging and the Area Office on Aging. Distributions will be between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., or while supplies last. Each recipient will receive four $5 coupons good through August.

The sites include the Put-in-Bay Senior Center, Aug. 3, Aug. 7; Elmore Golden Oldies Senior Center, Aug. 1; St. John s United Church of Christ in Genoa, Aug. 2; Danbury Senior Center, Aug. 3; Port Clinton High School s Performing Arts Center, Aug. 4; and Oak Harbor Lights Senior Center, Aug. 7.
