Findlay group wants farmers' market moved

FINDLAY - Some downtown business owners want the Findlay Farmers' Market moved because it's hurting business.

In a letter to City Council, a group calling itself Concerned Businesses on Broadway said it believes there is a better place for the market, now held Thursday afternoons on Broadway in front of the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.

The group would like to see the market moved to the parking lots behind the Hancock County Courthouse.

They said in their letter when Broadway is shut down for the market, they "can expect to have frustrated, upset customers, loss of daily sales, and loss of long-term customers."

The letter will be presented to council when it meets at 7:30 tonight.
