9/30/2006

BOWLING GREEN A former city manager in Napoleon has been recommended to fill a vacancy on Bowling Green City Council.

The Bowling Green Democratic Committee voted Thursday night to recommend Terry Dunn, a Bowling Green resident since 1994, to take the place of at-large Councilman Sarah Tomashefski, who resigned last week because of conflicts with her law school schedule.

Democratic Party Chairman Sandy Wicks said the committee interviewed two candidates, Mr. Dunn and Lee Hakel.

Council must appoint a new member within 30 days.
