EDON, Ohio Members of a crisis response team will be on hand tomorrow morning at Edon High School to help students deal with the death of a student Friday afternoon, school officials said yesterday.

Logan Goodman, 16, of Edon, who was a junior at the high school, was killed when his sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck collided at Williams County Road 2 and Williams County Road K in Florence Township at 3:10 p.m.

Young Goodman, who was traveling home from school, was northbound on Road 2 when his vehicle was hit by the pickup being driven east on Road K by Margaret Mangus, 56, of Hamilton, Ind., who failed to yield the right of way, troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Ms. Mangus and her daughter, Charlotte Arhndt, 37, of Butler, Ind., were flown to Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., where Ms. Mangus was in fair condition and Ms. Arhndt was in critical condition yesterday.

Troopers in Defiance said the case would be presented to the Williams County prosecutor s office tomorrow.

Bob Morton, the principal at Edon High School, said yesterday that a crisis response team will gather at the school early tomorrow to prepare for students. He said young Goodman was a drummer with the school s marching band and a member of its golf team and ran track.
