    • Bowsher High School students Pam Fink, 15, a sophomore, and Adam Errington, 17, a junior, determine how much weight bridges their teams constructed could hold during the Architecture, Construction, and Engineers Toothpick Bridge Competition.

    Teams from Waite, Start, and Rogers high schools also competed in the event, which was hosted yesterday by Rogers.

    The teams designed and built their bridges using only toothpicks and Elmer s School Glue.


    The winners were determined by loading weight onto the structure until it collapsed. Young Errington and his partner, Tim Hood, 16, took first place.
