EVANSPORT, Ohio - An Antwerp, Ohio, man remained in a Toledo hospital yesterday after his car collided with a tractor trailer Wednesday north of here in Williams County's Springfield Township, authorities said.

Thomas Marlin, 82, was flown to the University Medical Center following the crash that occurred about 7:40 p.m., troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol's Defiance post said. But a hospital spokesman yesterday said she had no information on a patient by his name.

Mr. Marlin was southbound on Williams County Road 24 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the tractor trailer that was being driven west on U.S. 6 by James Schrecengost, 65, of East Brady, Pa., troopers said.

Mr. Schrecengost was not hurt and the accident remains under investigation, troopers said.
