A firearms review board ruled today that a Toledo police officer was not justified in shooting his firearm in October.
The board voted 4-1 in the matter involving police Officer Arrow Osborne. The review board s finding will be referred to the department s internal affairs bureau.
Turone Murray, 52, of 301 Kingswood Trail, was shot Oct. 17 by Officer Osborne after a 20-minute pursuit for a traffic offense that ended in a field along Reynolds Road near Hill Avenue.
Mr. Murray was charged with aggravated robbery and failure to comply with the signal of a police officer stemming from the incident.
