A Waterville man was in serious condition yesterday in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, a day after he was thrown from a snowmobile after it landed in some trees along Henry County Road 3 just north of County Road V near Colton, Ohio, authorities said.

Terry Handley, 45, apparently was traveling on the snowmobile at high speed about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and lost control while crossing a ridge, sheriff's deputies said.
