Nominations are sought for Toledoans of the Year
2/19/2007Two local media organizations will sponsor the Toledoan of the Year 2006 awards, Mayor Carty Finkbeiner s office said.
Along with the city of Toledo, The Blade and WTVG-TV, Channel 13, will sponsor the awards that will be given in nine categories: humanitarian, lifetime achievement, educator, innovation, community investment, sportsman, leadership, youth, and Toledo Pride.
Nominations are available at local libraries, public elementary schools, and Government Center. The deadline for nominations is March 20; winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in May.
