Heather Schaper, a pharmacist with the Defiance Clinic, will discuss how to manage one s medications when NAMI Four County holds a public meeting at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board office on State Rt. 66, south of Archbold.

BLUFFTON

Crystal L. Downing, professor of English and film studies at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa., will present (In)vocation: Reading the Writing on the Wall at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Bluffton University s Founders Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

BOWLING GREEN

Guests at the Wood County Historical Center and Museum, 13660 County Home Rd., will get a look at the beautiful and different fashions worn by Native Americans of the Maumee Valley during the 1790s during the museum s monthly curator series at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Admission is free for historical society members, while a $2 donation is suggested for nonmembers. The event will be held on the museum s second floor, which is not wheelchair-accessible.

The Wood County Senior Center will host a four-part series on funeral planning, beginning at 1 p.m. Friday at the center, 305 North Main St. The free series, sponsored by the Wood County Committee on Aging and Bridge Home Health & Hospice, continues on the following three Fridays at 1 p.m.

Understanding issues in children s mental health will be the topic of a community program at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark s Lutheran Church, 315 South College Dr. Sponsored by the church, Mercy Health Partners of Northwest Ohio, Children s Resource Center, and Person-to-Person Resources, the free program will feature Bill Donnelly, director of the Children s Resource Center.

FINDLAY

Blanchard Valley Hospital will host a health fair Thursday on the second floor of the Ruse Center, located at the corner of South Main and West Wallace streets. Free health screenings along with door prizes and refreshments will be available.

GRAND RAPIDS, OHIO

An Equine Environment and Liability Awareness Program training session will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Nazareth Hall on State Rt. 65 near Grand Rapids. Attendance is a requirement for horse farms eligibility for pollution abatement cost share funds from the state of Ohio.

TOLEDO

Attorney Randy Dixon will speak at a Lucas County Bar Association noon luncheon today at Georgio s Cafe International, 426 North Superior St. His topic will be, Consumer Law Update: Justice Lanzinger Speaks, The Lame Legislature Listens, and Strickland Vetoes. The 30-minute program begins at 12:30 p.m. Luncheon price is $10.

Issues for the Young Spouse and Newlywed Caregiver is the topic of a program this evening for spouses of persons with dementia at an early age and caregivers who are recently married to or are companions of someone with dementia. T-Mobile will host a neighborhood meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Heatherdowns Country Club Dining Room, 3910 Heatherdowns Blvd., to discuss the cellular telephone tower proposed for a site on the Heatherdowns Country Club golf course.

Costumes and Customs: Celebrating Women Everywhere is the title of a luncheon and ethnic fashion show to be presented by the Great Lakes Consortium for International Training and Development from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the courtyard of Cousino s Navy Bistro in International Park.

The Ohio Breeding Bird Atlas II regional workshop for bird lovers will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the indoor theater at the Toledo Zoo.

The University of Toledo s Ritter Planetarium and the Toledo Astronomical Association will host a viewing of the Toledo area s first lunar eclipse since 2004 at Brooks Observatory on Saturday from the total eclipse, when the moon rises at 6 p.m., through the partial eclipse, until well after 8 p.m.
