Gypsy moth information sessions set

2/27/2007

Three open houses are to be held in Lucas County this week for residents to learn about how an insecticide will be applied to areas affected by gypsy moths.

The first two will be tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Washington branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 5560 Harvest Lane, and at the library system's Heatherdowns branch, 3625 Glanzman Rd. The third will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holland branch library, 1032 South McCord Rd.

All three will be hosted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio State University extension office at Toledo Botanical Gardens.

Treatment costs will be covered by the state, the Toledo Urban Forestry Commission, and Holland.
