LEIPSIC, Ohio A 64-year-old farmer was found dead yesterday in one of his grain bins, entangled in an auger. His wife found him when she went to get him for lunch, authorities said.

Tom Kreinbrink was pronounced dead at his farm on State Rt. 65 in Putnam County s Van Buren Township, about a mile south of Leipsic, where authorities were called just before 1 p.m.

Mr. Kreinbrink was working alone inside the large bin where a sweep auger was operating. The auger, anchored in the center of the bin, automatically circles the floor, carrying the last of the corn to an external receptacle, authorities said.

Mr. Kreinbrink, who was shoveling corn that the auger missed, got his pant leg caught in the auger, which then swept him around the bin. When he was found, the auger was still turned on but had quit moving, authorities said.
