Person killed in vehicle accident in Hillsdale County

Waldron, Mich. A Pioneer, Ohio man was killed about 9 p.m. last night when his pick-up truck drove off the road in southeastern Hillsdale County's Wright Township, a mile north of the Ohio-Michigan line, the sheriff's office reported.

James L. Lehsten, 61, was driving westbound on Morenci Road in Lenawee County, when his 2003 Ford F-150 pick-up truck drove off the south side of the road, crossed U.S. 127 into Hillsdale County, and then came to rest on the west side of U.S. 127, south of Territorial Road, deputies said.

Mr. Lehsten was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of his death is still under investigation.
