Director of Fulton County MRDD leaving post

5/17/2007

WAUSEON Brenda Oyer, superintendent of the Fulton County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities for the last two years, has resigned.

Board members accepted her resignation on Tuesday night, said Penny Earl, board president.

The resignation is effective at the end of the year or when we find a new director, Ms. Earl said yesterday.

Ms. Oyer is looking to go back to school to get a doctoral degree, Ms. Earl said.

Ms. Oyer could not be reached for comment.

A search committee for a new superintendent will probably be appointed Monday night during the board s regular meeting, Ms. Earl said.
