NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio - A rural North Baltimore man was killed Monday night after he became pinned beneath a Bobcat excavator, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
Jeremy Stewart, 33, was pronounced dead at Wood County Hospital about 8:40 p.m.
Dr. Douglas Hess, Wood County coroner, did not order an autopsy, but ruled the death accidental because of compressive asphyxia, a spokesman for his office said.
Mr. Stewart's wife called 911 just before 8 p.m. to report that her husband was trapped under a Bobcat at their home on Hammansburg Road.
North Baltimore fire personnel told a sheriff's deputy that once Mr. Stewart was removed from under the equipment, family members attempted to do CPR until an ambulance arrived.
