(Updated 4:19 p.m.) A suspected terrorist cell planned a "chilling" attack to destroy John F. Kennedy International Airport, kill thousands of people and trigger an economic catastrophe by blowing up a jet fuel artery that runs through populous residential neighborhoods, authorities said Saturday.

(Posted 10:19 a.m.) A central city man and his girlfriend were found dead early this morning in what Toledo police are calling a murder-suicide. Responding to witnesses' reports of shots fired and a person screaming just after 4 a.m., police found the body of Tonya McKinley, 45, in the basement of an apartment building in the 2200 block of Auburn Avenue. She had been shot multiple times, according to Sgt. Tim Noble.
