Because of a production error, some information that didn't belong was included in this story in yesterday's paper. The following is the correct version.

The former Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach who led the program to new heights has been appointed to the university's Board of Trustees.

Fran Voll, of Marion, Ohio, was appointed to a nine-year term on the board by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.

Mr. Voll is a 1968 graduate of BGSU who came back to the university to coach in 1984 and led the Falcons to three Mid-American Conference championships and four MAC Tournament titles from 1984 to 1991.

Everyone who played on Mr. Voll's teams graduated.

In 1991, Mr. Voll went into administration and served as an assistant athletic director for athletic development at BGSU until 1996.

He was the director of the Falcon Club and also did radio broadcasts of the men's basketball games.

Mr. Voll serves on the university's alumni association board of directors.

He is principal of Marion Catholic High School, his alma mater.
