Accident closes State Rt. 163 in Ottawa County

State Rt. 163 was closed to traffic in both directions for about 2 hours today east of State Rt. 51 near Genoa after a tractor-trailer rig overturned there about 10:40 a.m., injuring the driver, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital. His condition was not available, a dispatcher at the patrol s Sandusky post said.

Route 163 was expected to be open to traffic shortly after 1 p.m., the dispatcher said.
