The Blade s Road Warrior advises readers each Friday where the biggest driving headaches will be throughout the construction season. He ll tell you the locations

to avoid and the detours to take.

Watch out for lane closings on the State Rt. 25 (Dixie Highway) bridge over I-475 in Perrysburg this weekend. The contractor that re-decked the bridge last summer will be painting tomorrow and Sunday. ODOT says minor delays may occur.

The Road Warrior proudly claims one minor first associated with last week s opening of the Veterans Glass City Skyway: he was the first motorist to take the

northbound Greenbelt Parkway exit ramp after crossing the new bridge. At least, he thinks so, because orange barrels still blocked the bottom of the ramp at Galena Street to keep any traffic from entering what had been the work area.

So unless one of the dozen or so other motorists who crossed the bridge ahead of him got off there, moved one of the barrels, and then went to the trouble of replacing that barrel after passing through, he was first off at that ramp! Minor, indeed but memorable.
