SHERWOOD, Ohio - Three people were hurt yesterday in a two-vehicle collision at Bend and Buckskin roads in Defiance County's Delaware Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Jessica Gamble, 21, of Camden, Ohio, who was driving a car westbound on Buckskin about 2 p.m., failed to yield at a stop sign, and struck a pickup truck driven by Melvin Mohr, 34, of Sherwood, who was northbound on Bend, troopers at the patrol's Defiance post said.

Ms. Gamble was taken by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital, troopers said.

The hospital was unable to provide Ms. Gamble's condition last night.

A passenger in her vehicle, Michelle Kavanagh, 21, of Williamston, Mich., was taken to Defiance Regional Medical Center, troopers said.

Information on her condition also was unavailable last night.

Mr. Mohr was treated at Community Hospitals of Williams County in Bryan.

Seat belts worn by all three people limited the injuries, which were nonlife-threatening, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
