Mortgage assistance available to homeowners
7/11/2007The Lucas County Foreclosure Task Force and the United Way of Greater Toledo yesterday announced that help is available for residents who are struggling with house payments or facing foreclosure.
The Toledo Fair Housing Center, 432 North Superior St., offers free financial literacy classes and counseling and a Restoring the Dream program.
The center can assist in providing refinancing as well as grant money for qualified residents who need to catch up with mortgage payments. Information about the free services is available by calling 419-243-6163.
The United Way also can provide assistance and referrals and can be reached at 419-248-2424.
