Airport Highway flooded in South Toledo

Airport Highway between South Westwood Avenue and Thad Street in south Toledo is flooded this morning after the overnight storms dumped about 1.5 inches of rain in the area, authorities said.

The storms, which came from Michigan, hit Toledo the hardest between 1 and 4 a.m., Frank Kieltyka, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Cleveland, said.

Exactly 1.49 inches of rain fell between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. at Toledo Express Airport, Mr. Kieltyka said.
