Car-minivan collision sends 2 to hospital

VAN BUREN, Ohio Two people were hurt when a car and a minivan collided in northeast Hancock County at State Rt. 613 and State Rt. 18 Tuesday afternoon, the Hancock County Sheriff s Office said.

Morgan Baker, 18, of Fostoria, a passenger in the car, was in fair condition in the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly Medical College of Ohio, last night after being flown there the previous day.

The driver of the minivan, Julie Sopher, 46, of Findlay, also was flown to University of Toledo Medical Center, sheriff s deputies said. No information on her condition was available last night.

Blake Lemley, 18, of Fostoria, the driver of the car, reported minor injuries and wasn t hospitalized, sheriff s deputies said.

The crash occurred about 5:10 p.m. in Cass Township, about 35 miles south of Toledo. The impact sent both vehicles off the road, sheriff s deputies said.
