Woman dies in collision involving farm tractor in Seneca County
10/1/2007REEDTOWN, Ohio An Attica, Ohio, woman was killed and an Attica man was hurt last night when a minivan and a farm tractor collided on State Rt. 4 in eastern Seneca County s Reed Township
Sonja Ellsworth, 68, the driver of the minivan, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the patrol s Fremont post said.
Kenneth Stockmeister, Jr., 18, the driver of the tractor, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, troopers said. A hospital spokesman said that a person by the name of Kenneth Stockmeister was not on the hospital's list of patients.
The minivan and the tractor, which was pulling a tanker trailer, were northbound on Route 4 about 7:55 p.m. when the driver of the minivan failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and crashed into the rear of the tanker trailer, troopers said.
Reedtown is about 60 miles southeast of Toledo.

REEDTOWN, Ohio - An Attica, Ohio, woman was killed last night when a van and a farm tractor collided on State Rt. 4 in eastern Seneca County's Reed Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
The name of the victim, in her late 60s, was being withheld pending notification of relatives, troopers said.
No other information about the accident, which occurred about 8 p.m., was available.
