$500,000 grant to Edon to extend water service
10/22/2007EDON, Ohio A $500,000 grant from the Ohio Small Cities program will help pay for the construction of a water tower and water and sewer lines in this Williams County village.
The construction, which includes 3,350 linear feet of water and sewer lines, will help Flying J Inc. with its new $12.2 million service plaza on St. Rt. 49 at Ohio Turnpike Exit 2.
The company will add 64 jobs for a 17,000-square-foot travel plaza, which will include a restaurant, fast-food service, showers, a convenience store, laundry facilities, truck and auto fueling, and propane sales.
The Small Cities grants are part of the Community Development Block Grant Economic Development Program, administered by the Ohio Department of Development.
