Ford employee dies in accident at Wayne plant

WAYNE, Mich. A Ford Motor Co. employee died following an accident Monday morning at the automaker s Wayne Stamping and Assembly plant, which produces the Focus small car, the company said.

The day shift at the plant, located about 16 miles southwest of Detroit, was canceled following the accident, said spokeswoman Anne Marie Gattari. The employee s name and details of the accident were not immediately released.

Dearborn-based Ford was working with authorities investigating the accident.
