Seneca County courthouse gets reprieve till March 17

(Posted at 3:14 p.m.) TIFFIN Seneca County commissioners this morning agreed to hold off on demolishing the county s 1884 courthouse at least until March 17. By a 2-1 vote, commissioners approved a resolution that states the board does not intend to take any irreparable action regarding the courthouse, specifically that it will not award a contract for demolition before March 17.




(Updated at 8:11 a.m.) BELLEVUE, Ohio Bellevue City Schools were on a two-hour delay for a bomb threat early Thursday morning before being closed for the day, authorities said. Area law enforcement agents were bringing in sniffer dogs just before 7 a.m. to check all seven buildings of the school district for a bomb threat, Evelyn Woodruff, administrative assistant to the superintendant said.

(Updated at 8:25 p.m.) SAN DIEGO Four charred bodies were found Thursday in an apparent migrant camp burned by one of the wildfires raging across Southern California, authorities said. If the fire was responsible for the deaths which authorities said was not immediately certain it would mean seven people have died in the flames that have consumed about 750 square miles since the weekend.
