11/6/2007

BOWLING GREEN - Tickets will be available at the door for a dance Saturday to benefit Alicia's Voice, a grass-roots organization working to combat domestic violence.

Alicia's Voice, which was formed in the wake of the March 29 murder of Alicia Castillon by her former boyfriend, is raising funds to open a family justice center in Bowling Green where victims of domestic violence would have access to social and legal services in one location.

The dance will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight at Nazareth Hall, 21211 West River Rd., near Grand Rapids, Ohio. For advance tickets, call 419-354-4314.

At 7 p.m. Nov. 13, a panel discussion on domestic violence will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 315 South College Drive.

Representatives of Alicia's Voice, the Cocoon shelter, Owens Community College, and the University of Toledo's college of law Center for Domestic Violence will take part.
