11/6/2007

BOWLING GREEN - The Wood County Planning Commission is to meet at 5:30 p.m. today to review the latest draft of a comprehensive land-use plan for the county and look at applications for projects seeking funding through the Community Development Block Grant program.

The commission also will consider a request from Bates Recycling Inc. to rezone 1.77 acres in Bloom Township from agricultural to industrial. The firm wants to incorporate the property into its existing acreage east of State Rt. 25 near Cygnet, which contains a scrap recycling operation.

The commission meets on the fifth floor of the county office building in the courthouse complex.
