The body of a Toledo man was found Thursday after a small plane he was flying crashed in northern Louisiana, authorities said.

The wreckage of the single-engine Cessna 182Q and the body of Edward Dilts, 46, were found in a rural part of Union Parish, about 10 miles northwest of Farmerville, La.

Mr. Dilts apparently was patrolling pipelines over the parish and was the only person in the plane. The last contact with Mr. Dilts was around noon Wednesday, authorities said.

The plane belonged to Brentco Aerial Patrol Inc. of East Canton, Ohio, authorities said.
