ADRIAN - Seven people were left homeless yesterday after fire destroyed their mobile home, authorities said.

Adrian firefighters responded to the Kings Mobile Home Park on Lansing Street about 4:40 p.m. to find a residence engulfed in flames, fire Capt. Jim Dailey said. A firefighter suffered second-degree burns on his left shoulder in an ensuing two-hour battle that kept flames from spreading to two neighboring homes, the captain said.

The American Red Cross provided shelter for four members of the household; three others arranged to stay with relatives.

Captain Dailey estimated damage at $25,000. The fire started in a bedroom, but its cause was not immediately known, he said.
