Sandusky County man sought after making threats

BOWLING GREEN Police are looking for a Sandusky County man who allegedly sent threatening text and voice messages to his former wife and her boyfriend.

James Kern, 32, of Helena, is wanted on charges of aggravated menacing and violating a civil protection order.

According to police reports, Kern has threatened his ex-wife, Michelle, and her boyfriend, Brian Bernholtz of Delta, in recent text messages and phone calls. Police were called last night after Kern met with a counselor in Bowling Green and allegedly threatened to kill Mr. Bernholtz.
