COLUMBUS Two area non-profit agencies will receive state grants to fund counseling for families at risk of home foreclosure.

In Lucas County, the Northwest Ohio Development Agency will receive $50,000, while Sandusky County s WSOS Community Action Agency Inc. will receive $62,100.

Of the 13 counties housing the 24 organizations to receive grants, Cuyahoga County represents the bulk of the grants, with about $650,000 going to Cleveland-area agencies.

The $2 million Foreclosure Prevention Housing Counseling Program is paid for by the Ohio Housing Trust and distributed by the Ohio Department of Development.
